Coolrunning to My Active and Back


From within a coolrunning forum I can go easy with the link provided to the My Active section to edit my information or send a PM. Once I am in My Active there is no easy way to get back to CR. I have to select Active Community/Running and click on the Cool Running Visitors link.

I am with you on this, I am getting to the point where I am thinking things are being made more difficult for us in the hope we eventually give up so coolrunning forums can disappear and it can be one great big happy active forum.

Most of the coolrunning forums are ghost towns now and if it wasn't for a great group I post with I would prob be gone too, it is just not much fun to navigate around here anymore and it is so frustrating to be directed to Active every time I want to log in to reply and have to hunt my way back to the thread I was on.

I stuck with it all thru this transition and had confidence it would improve but it ain't happening, this is supposed to be an ungrade? Heck at least coolrunning had the capability to remember me and not insist I go thru a painful log in process numerous times a day :( what does it take to be remembered on this site?!?

We will be adding a Cool Running link in the drop down browse menu on Active. It should be up soon. I think that'll help a lot with navigation back and forth. Let me know if you have any other suggestions to make navigation easier. Thanks!

No, I am sure things are not being done to destroy coolrunning. Active spent to much money I am sure to do that. Software development takes time. Active can be criticized for the transition but for fixing software and developing new features these are things that take time. I work with software developers on a daily basis (not Active) and I see how they can work even on teams for a long time developing one small part of a major project.

Sara, I saw you implemented that dropdown to include coolrunning. This fixed my issue of checking my PM's and then getting back to CR. Thanks

Oh good you saw it! It just got finished. So for others reading this, there is now a Cool Running link in the Browse menu on Active so you can get back and forth easier. We are going to continue to work on making navigation easier, but I hope this will at least be helpful for now.

Hmmm, I use the dropdown to go to active trainer and after I log into activetrainer there is a community link which will take me back to the community's but if the link in activetrainer for community was the same drop down that we have here we could go directly back to our regular forum. This would give active trainer more uniformity, the same look and feel. Sorry Sara, I am sure you are pretty busy and the last thing you need is more work.

Okay I see what you are saying. I had to try it myself first. I'll see what we can do. That would be a change to Active Trainer and I know they are extremely busy over there trying to upgrade it so I'll pass it along and have them keep it in mind. Good feedback. Thanks Mike!
