I'm not big on football, but I love the superbowl. Mostly because of the food -- there are always 100 different dips at superbowl parties. Here's my favorite "superbowl recipe."
Ingredients
Four Avocadoes, soft
½ cup Cilantro
½ red onion, minced
One whole large tomato
Juice from one lime
Salt or Garlic Salt to taste
Mash Avocados. Dice cilantro, onion, and tomato. Stir together, with lime and salt ....serve. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce for a little extra spice.

For this year's Super Bowl I think it'd be fitting to have a pot of New England clam chowder and a pot of Manhattan clam chowder!
However, since I'm a Miami Dolphins fan, I'll just be sitting in a corner eating my dolphin-safe tuna sandwich...
Melissa--The Pesto Hummus recipe from your cookin' up a storm blog is also a great one for game day.

YUM! Toby, I LOVE 7 layer dip... one of my good friends is known for hers.
As in, "Hey Brian, I hear you met my friend Jess last week."
(Blank look from Brian)
Brian's Wife: Brian, you remember Jess.... the sweet girl who brought the 7 layer dip.
(Excited look of recognition from Brian)
This year I'm doing black and gold quesadillas.... basically quesadillas with corn and black beans. And lots of beer to get some carbs back after my 20 miler. Go Steelers!
I do today what you won't, so tomorrow I do what you can't.
However, since I'm a Miami Dolphins follower, I'll just be seated in a corner consuming my dolphin-safe tuna sandwich...
