Treadmills

I am buying a new treadmill and trying to decide between three models:

PaceMaster Platinum Pro VR
Landice L7
LifeFitness T3

Any insights or suggestions? I had a PaceMaster and love it, but around the 5000 mile mark, the deck cracked in half.

Re: Treadmills
I dont know the names. But if you want a good one you got to pay alot. Alot you buy at stores are crappy and go up to only 10 mph and have a small belt.

Re: Treadmills
I have a PaceMaster Pro Plus since Sept, 1997. I, my wife and oldest son use it regularly for all types of training, speed, distance, hills, etc. It has been a great performer and the few problems I had (early on had an LED out and some other minor issues) Aerobics Inc. backed the product and shipped out parts at no cost immediately. It has an aircraft alluminum farme so shock absorpstion isnt an issue and its not quite so heavy as those with metal frames. The one your looking at is really cool with some advanced features like the -3 degree for working downhills and quads. I would higly recommend it. I would buy that model myself right now excpet theres nothing wrong with mine so its difficult to justify the expediture. Good Luck.

Re: Treadmills
I used to own a Landice and will give it a partial thumbs up. I put about 1,000 miles on it and never had any mechanical issues ( the thumbs up part). Things I did not like:
  • it was loud
  • not as stable as the really hard core health club / lab equipment. For instance the older Quinton Clubtracs are solid as a rock
  • relatively short and narrow running deck. When you get moving, the short deck is a bit of a problem.
