Hi there!! I've had PF before. Ice became my friend along with stretching out those calves and that Strassburg sock thingie. The socked looked a little strange and took some getting used to, but in the end it really helped. PLEZ be so careful with that ibuprofen!! Years ago, I had some serious issues with tight IT bands and begin the ibuprofen therapy just like you. I totally regret it! I did it for about a week. About a month later I was training for a marathon and notice I would begin having nauseating stomach pains. At the end of that particular run, I layed on the floor in my bathroom for 2 hours with the pain. Long story short, the ibuprofen had eaten a small ***** in my stomach lining. Even now, years later it will flair up, especially if I take antibiotics. With that said - PLEZ take another route! Be patient!
