E-mails.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hey Guys,

I know I sound like a broken record and I am really sorry for continuing to bring this topic up. That said....

I do not want to have to change the e-mail preference EVERY TIME I GO TO A DISCUSSION. There are 2 ways to solve this. The first is to have people opt-in to receiving e-mails. This option makes for a much better customer experience and may actually encourage more posting. The second option is to make it stick permanently when someone (like me) opts out of receiving e-mail notifications. Seriously, the e-mail issue is a horrible customer experience. You are presuming to know what users want and in this case, it's not right. I liken this particular problem to the Do Not Call lists. Once you opt out of annoying phone calls, anyone who calls you could be in trouble because, as a consumer, you have used your right and said "NO" to the phone calls. Every other site asks you what type of things you would like to receive e-mail about and you OPT IN. PLEASE, Please, please fix this. I am begging you.

Thank you for listening.

Valerie
