Anyone been to Croatia?

Has anyone ever been to Croatia or Montenegro? Apparantly Casino Royale was filmed in Montenegro which brough a bunch of attention to the area. The whole region looks like a huge playground begging to be explored. Is it safe? expensive? worth the trip? Is it as good as it looks in the film?

    Hi

     

     

    Casino Royale was shot in Czech Republic (and other locations) eventhough they say it is Montenegro. But Montenegro is definitely worh visiting - the cities are horrible but the Durmitor National Park and Tara River are amazing. It doesn't have the islands that Croatia have.

     

     

    For ideas about Croatia look at our blog - http://blog.lifejacketadventures.com - we haven't been to Montenegro for a while so no information about it there.

     

     

    Both countries are very safe.

    Thanks! So, you are the ones that tried to cross the Adriatic Sea in Kayaks? I really enjoyed the document you posted on the site about your trip! What a cool experience and really interesting about the local authorities being so adverse to your adventure. The country seems to be getting alot of attention lately in the outdoor world. The local government should get ready for a surge of people just like you guys, trying to explore the area.

    Yep, I've been to Croatia, including Dubrovnik, and it is as beautiful as the movie.
