Coverage of the 4th largest 10k in the country

Richmond VA

Monument Aveune 10k. Why no coverage from CoolRunning? I was looking forward to seeing it on our site. Bummer.

Valerie,

Did you go or run it? I was in Richmond a couple days before but had to leave the night before the race unfortunately. A bunch of my friends were running it, but I have yet to hear how it went.

Yeah. The weather was definitely not great when I was there either. Too bad it wasn't nicer for the race. Ya never can tell what Virginia weather will bring. I'm happy to hear some of your friends had PRs. Next year!

They also missed The great Race of Agoura which is one of Runnersworld's top 10 10K's in the country. Val and Mike are feeling no love. BTW Sara, I did run that one :)

Oh yeah. How'd it go? Which race did you run? Did you enjoy those hills? :) I saw the video on the site. I am guessing you have seen it but here it is.

The Great Race of Agoura Hills - Half Marathon

Also, have you both seen the new comments and ratings feature on event listings? It should be a helpful feature. Each event page has a Comments/Ratings button so users can post their thoughts or questions about the event. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

Sara,

I did the 10K with a time of 1:06:55. I was pretty happy with this time since only a 1/2 year ago I would not even think of running to the door. I did not realize how much hill work there would be in this race. My runs have been mostly flat city miles and hitting some of them hills in Agoura really kicked my fanny. One other person here at CR ran the race as well (woodwoman). We looked for each other but did not make contact.
