Suggested books for a "clean" diet

I want to start 'eating clean'. I know a fair amount about nutrition; however, I'd like to read up on what to avoid (i.e. names of preservatives, etc.). Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

Re: Suggested books for a "clean" diet

I just bought "You Are What you Eat" by Gillian McKeith, it's excellent and I highly recommend it. Lots of information. I know that Tosca Reno has a clean eating book as well but I haven't checked that one out yet. I also liked "The Detox Diet", not sure who the author is, I"m not at home to check. It's not a diet but tells you what foods to eat to clean you out and how to eat more clean. You can also do a search on amazon.com and just type in "clean eating", you'll come up with a ton of hits. Good luck!
