Before you watch this video think about which sport is harder as a batter and pitcher. Got your answer? Now watch this video with Jennie Finch, Bryan Byrne and John Brenkus!

That was crazy! Impressive. Jennie showed him. I haven't seen the show before, but I would love to watch it if it is anything like the episode I just saw.
I wish they had brought a female on to see if she could hit a baseball. I'd be curious to see that also. Hum, who would have the best chance of hitting the baseball for the women?
I don't know if the comparison was quite fair. Jennie Finch is one of the best women's fastpitch pitchers in the world. The college pitcher and hitter in the video aren't anywhere near that level in the realm of baseball.
I saw this being discussed elsewhere and someone stated: "The baseball pitcher threw 95. That's 5mph off max speed of a baseball fastball. Why didn't they get someone from the majors throwing 100 and one of the best men's fastpitch pitchers? It's an example of how you can get the desired result you wish if you use flawed samples." And thought that it's something that should be considered. |
