Running without lifting?

My workout program currently involves running 35 minutes 6 days a week (about 5 miles) and playing tennis 4-5 days per week (for 1-2 hours at moderate intensity)

I use to do lifting 3-4 days per week, but have since put that on pause due to a very busy schedule. Is this a bad thing to do? I plan to resume lifting in about a month when school wines down.

Welcome to active.com!
Obviously it would be better if you could continue lifting, but we all have other priorities in our lives. Time is a precious resource! Considering how much you are already putting into exercise each week, it's understandable if you need to take a short break from the weights. It might even be beneficial as the month off will give your muscles time to rebuild and repair. Hopefully you will come back even stronger. One thing you might want to do is work in a couple quick blocks of natural resistance exercises each day in order to maintain your muscular endurance. It's a lot easier to find time to fit in a few sets of push-ups, crunches, and pull-ups than it is to find time to get to the gym. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Good luck!
