Boston Marathon. How to get to the start?

Hi Runners,

I'm sure there are hundreds of people in the same situation as I am, but that doesn't make me any less desperate for an answer :D. I have a friend that I'm sponsoring in the race that I'd like to run beside for as long as I can. I'm no slouch, but she is wicked fast.

I've looked at the marathon site and it says I'm not allowed on the busses out to the start due to being unbibbed. Any idea on how I could get there? It doesn't appear that many people are driving out. I am prepared to walk if necessary, but that isn't a great option.

Thank you.
