So I saw the strangest thing on the way to work this morning. A lady running in our neighborhood was wearing sandals - the athletic type that you can wear in the water and has straps over your feet and ankle. Very odd.
Re: Strangest Sight
Ok I have to fess up - my husband and I might be considered a strange sighting............ So my parents love my dog, their granddog, well we all have been biking a decent amount lately. So my parent's felt bad for leaving my dog home while we bike so they bought a dog trailer for bikes. So yes on shorter rides (10 miles) we hook it up and pull the "DoggieRide". And people do stare at us!! But my dog is getting used to it and actually seems to like it.
Wow Tekno, u guys are one of those people....LOL But I can't say anything, the other night I had to hold a bone while my dog chewed on it. Appearantly he was too tired to hold it himself...LOL Funny thing is he kept putting the bone on my lap and I kept throwing it on the floor and he'd bring it back. finally I caught what he was trying to tell me and as soon as I held the bone, he laid down and started chewing on it...LOL curlyj wrote:Not so strange Tekno! My girlfriend bikes with her dachsund in her backpack. She also takes her out in the kayak with a little doggy life jacket!
Yes, Jesus - we are those type of people!!!Yes my dog has a doggy life jacket for when we go boating!! And I seriously think he would drown without it or at least tire out really quickly. So between my dog and the bike trailer whoever is pulling him just added 75 pounds to what the have to pull on the bike!!!

He might be just a tad bit spoiled. He also gets a massage before bedtime every night! He sits on his bed and will look at me with his puppy eyes until he gets it. If he doesn't get it, he'll bark until he does. I was probably a funny sight running this afternoon. There are a bunch of geese hanging out in a swampy yard down the street and as I ran past, I must have spooked/came too close to a few of them and two of them started chasing me! Let's just say I picked up my speed a little bit as these geese were running after me hissing! badgergrl wrote:

Let's just say I picked up my speed a little bit as these geese were running after me hissing! The things we do for our animals!!! Good love it. I'm laughing at the image I have in my head of you being chased by geese! Where do you live? Since we're talking geese... A couple of days ago I took my son (8yrs old) and oldest daughter to the dentist. As we're in the parking lot getting ready to leave, we notice a couple of geese on the lawn next to the lot. Now, my son can get a little obsessive about things. For years it was pirates. EVERYTHING had to do with pirates. Well, now he's really big into the Ology books: Dragonology, Wizardology, etc. He considers himself a practicing dragonologist and is trying to become a wizard. His books pretty much go with him wherever we go. So, here we are in my Subaru looking a pair of geese. Next thing I know, Lincoln is running across the lawn toward the unsuspecting geese, encumbered by a couple of his hard-covered books on wizardry. He has decided to try and make one of them his Familiar. (If you don't know what a wizard's familiar is than you obviously haven't played enough Dungeons & Dragons in your younger days! A familiar is a wizard's pet; usually there's some sort of mental telepathy link between the two.) Alas, the geese were not really into the whole wizard thing. They turned away, walking and squawking, with the wand-and-tomb-encumbered wizard-to-be struggling after pleading with them to come back. Apparantly, the boy takes after his father. The geese were faster.
