shoe recommendation for pronator

I've been running for the last few years in the Asics Evolution I and recently used up my last pair.

I liked the shoe and could probably move to the Evolution II or III, but have been thinking about moving to a slightly lighter shoe. I've battled PF and ITBS and pronate so I'm not sure I'm ready to completely give up some motion control in the shoe.

I have a med volume foot, D width, low arch, and use superfeet or Sole custom footbeds.

Run 30-50mpw depending on the time of the year.

Any recomendations?

The best answer is to go to a speciality running store and get fitted for shoes and ask lots (and lots) of questions. There you'll be able to check out a variety of shoe types and brands. Note that PF is often caused by a shoe that is too stiff for your foot.

For reference my wife has flat feet and runs mainly in Gel Evolutions. She now has the Evolution3, I believe, which are much lighter than prior versions . The Solyte midsole makes a big difference in weight. She also races (5k - 10k) is DS Trainers. Check out the latest Evolution or a stability shoe such as GT2130 / equivalent in other brands.
