cramping problems

Hi all,

it seems that I have a tendency to cramp in warm weather. In my preliminary research I found that salt tablets may help.

Has anyone here taken Endurolyte and/or Succeed! tablets? If so, what are your thoughts (good or bad)?

Also, any general advice re: avoiding cramping would be great.

Thanks.

Re: cramping problems
My friend, who completed the Ironman last summer, gave me some good advice about cramping. He said mustard packets work wonders, especially during the run. I've tried the Endurolyte capsules, and they seem to work if taken before my run. Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours before the run. Hydration is key. Good luck!

Re: cramping problems
I used to struggle with cramping a lot and I can't say exactly why the cramping stopped but it did. I played lacrosse in college and for the first two years I cramped and I mean really cramped. I changed my diet a bit and stopped drinking soda. I started drinking mostly water and that seemed to help a lot. I would recommend paying close attention to the foods you eat and when the cramping happens to see if you can find any correlation between the two. Every individual's body is different.

I never took any supplements like salt tablets or anything. I used to use Power Gel even when training which also seemed to help. That's it though.
