Getting back into running. Any suggestions?

A few years ago, I was a pretty decent runner. In high school, I could run a good 4 miles straight. I want to get back to where I was. Right now, I'm up to running about 2 miles at a decent pace. Any work out suggestions to get me back into shape the quickest?

I was at the same place you were at. I couldn't believe how out of shape I was when I got back to it. For me, I had actually started the C25K again (somewhere in the middle), but if you're running 2 miles, you could use that and start later in the program. Also, there is a 5k beginner program on this site that I used to pick up where the C25K left off. You could use that to build your mileage back up.

That was just what I started out doing, but I sure don't know a lot about running.

Good luck! Congratulations on coming back to the sport!
