Curious about the Old Dominion 100 miler

I need a good race for June, so I'm considering Old Dominion 100. Can anyone shed light on it? How difficult is the course, how nice are the buckles (they're for sub-24 only, right?), etc. Thanks.

Re: Curious about the Old Dominion 100 miler

I am doing the Old Dominion, and have been searching for race reports as my gauge to this race's difficulty level. I have done 6 50's and 1 70 mile run over the past couple of years. I am struggling w/ how to pace. I think I will go out running 3 miles at 11min pace and then walk a mile at sub 20 minute pace trying to repeat this for at least the first 60 to 70. I don't want to crash and burn, but am definately going to try and break 24.

If you have entered this run, best of luck, perhaps will log some miles together.
