Pace/Times

I was wondering what a good pace for a 10 mile ride for a women would
be? I just started cycling and am planning on doing a mini tri in July.
I did my first 10 mile ride in 40 mins, is that a good start or is it
super slow? And if it is slow about what time should I be aiming
for?

Re: Pace/Times

mlines109,

If this is your first sprint tri, then aim for finishing above all. 40 min is not bad at all, you certainly won't be last. Put in the effort in training and you will naturally become faster, don't push it, let it just happen. Remember this, train like you will race, race like you have trained.

Re: Pace/Times
in total agreement with AA3's post do your best and don't worry about the time. go as fast as you can WHILE leaving a something left for the run. good luck and have fun
