Motivate your family

Ever since I ran the 100 miler earlier this month, my Mom has been working out on a daily basis. She said I inspired her to resume exercising and she hasn't missed a workout since! She has been asking me all sorts of questions about eating before her workout and run/walk pacing so I send her relevant articles whenever I come across them and think she'll benefit from reading. I found this one today called How to Go From Sedentary to Running in Five Steps over on zenhabits.net because it sums things up so well. Do you think its missing anything or is it complete and ready to pass along? Thanks guys!

Re: Motivate your family

Toby,

I like the article. Simple and easy to follow.

The article states to start slow and don't burn out. I always like to make the statement that the effort is to establish a lifestyle of activity, not just achieving the benefits of activity. Those are by-products of the lifestyle. Becoming active brings with it a nutritional education, healthier dietary choices, relationship building with like minded people in the active community, race day pageantry, etc. Establishing the mind-set of being member of this active community is a big part of not burning out because you are building a new lifestyle of activity.

Only thing I might add.
