Jimmy, I am so excited for you and envious of your excitement I can't wait to hear all the details!

 

I remember when I was a young kid right around 11 or 12 and first started watching the Tour de France and other weird races on TV.  I was always entrigued and wanted to challenge myself that way.  I am now at the point in my life where I get to do cool fun stuff.  This race and year is one for the record books.  It is all a dream coming true for me.  I love my life and the adventure that each day brings.  I hope my excitement is contagious and not repulsive.  And to top it all off I get some good Vermont beer and a Ben and Jerry's tour.

Nita I know the loyal fans of Jimmy and this boards members are good and when I typed repulsive I knew it was the wrong word but I meant more of a turn off then repulsive.  We need to pick out a good road race that we can both make it to and sign up.  I would so love to run a race with you.  I had all intentions of doing so at this years CMM but the next race we will run together.  Maybe not til Houston but....

Len I was checking that out after I heard about it.  Would be an awesome trip to take the family on.  The kids would enjoy that for the summer vacation I think.  I read some reviews on this and the great thing is you can downsize in the middle of the race.  I can't wait to give you all a handy weekend report as soon I can muster it.
