How many marathons have you run?

I'm just curious what the answers across the board are. Oh and I will give points at the end of the day for the persons with the highest totals.

I've only got one successful finish under my belt. And that was last years MCM.

Four . . . with 2 more in October and 1 in January definitely locked in. September, November, and December are up in the air.

I have 3 1/2 marathons in the last 10 months

I have four and two more scheduled so far. San Antonio and Houston.

and this is where I currently stand in my endeavors as a marathoner. I might end up hitting New Mexico by the first of next month but will have to see how my visit home goes. My current total stands at 13 with 9 of them being this year. I have been lucky enough to get several states (10) and DC under my belt.

Jimmy! You can register for either the 50 or the 51 now. I really thought you had more repeat states in this year. I know thats not your real goal, jsut which ever offers better discounts. But still.

By years end I will hopefully have at least 2-3 more checked off the list. I will hit Illinois for sure and then some repeats in Novemeber and still might do Ohio (Air Force marathon) and like I said more then likely I will also get New Mexico under my belt. Liz and I are also discussing going to jamaica for the reggae marathon in December for our anniversary!

Liz wants to go to a marathon for her anniversary? Or you just happen to find one there? LOL

I plan on doing Air Force next year! If you happen to scratch it off this year, let me know how it was.

MCM will be my 4th or 5th, depending on if I run the Baltimore on October 11th (in super slo-mo as my last LSD).

2008 - Big Sur: <5 hours.

1988 - Maryland Marathon (short-lived new course): 3:15

1984 - Maryland Marathon (classic - Old Memorial Stadium to Peerce's Plantation -- including Satre Hill - and back): 4:02

Just one so far (MCM '07) with three more planned (MCM '08, Antarctica '09, Pittsburgh '09).

I do today what you won't, so tomorrow I do what you can't.

I've done 11 marathons.

6 - MCMs

2 -National Marathons (in DC)

1 - DC Marathon

1 - Frederick Marathon

1 - Cleveland Marathon

Apart from Cleveland, all of the others were local for me. And given I have two small kids, I think my future will not involve many travel marathons at all (I don't think "Yeah Honey, I was thinking about traveling to XYZ to run a marathon. Of couurse you and the kids can come - but I'll have tobe focused on the race so you can take care of them in a strange city. Or you can stay home with the kids - you'll have fun..." )

That being said, I do want to run Connemara one year. I'll use all of my good graces up for that one.
