Way to go Sara!. Two miles is two miles. Ya gotta love it.
I do. I don't care that it took me darn close to half an hour (part of which because, um, I slept until NINE this morning. I feel so slothful) and it was hot. I just don't care. I ran two miles.
Proceeding with Kat's kappy cheer dance. Oops. Just flipped ice packs across the room with my leg.
K. Gonna go shower now. Hehe.
I have just returned from 37 minutes on the treadmill. I started off with 20 minutes of walking (forward, backward, "side shuffle"), then ran for ten minutes, then I walked for seven minutes. I hit two miles at 37 minutes, so I stopped.
I'm now off for a massage. I just got back from a work trip to Boston. I was in the store by 6:45 am, and I was there til between 10 and 11 pm almost every day. Half way through the second day, I had no ankle, and my calf was swollen. I'm taking Aleve, icing, and I'm hoping the massage will help some.
One day at a time.
Lauren, two miles is two miles. Your leg is still attached, right? That's 99% of the battle.
We've come this far and it's still the same,
Runnin' out here in the rain.
Just one more mile, if only you could fly.
(Apologies to T. Rush and J. Tempchin, for the paraphrase)

Somebody get that girl a scotch and soda.
Way to go, you.
No my friend, you're going to have a beer with Omi, sorry it's not Nita. ![]()
Just had a very good 8 miles. Ran the meandering paved trails in the woods out here in Reston. I saw more deer than people! (4 deer, 2 people, if you are keeping track).
Picked up the pace on the second half and finished in a personal best 1:07:46 (8:27/mile pace).
So I'm happy. Only a 5 miler tomorrow and then a 2-day rest before the olympic-sized triathlon on Sunday morning!

I fixed it and would not have noticed that I goofed it! I had a beer and am now hydrating the right way for a longer run tomorrow! I don't have to go to work.
