I know many on this forum have answered this before. Most of us in many different ways. I just find that if I can go out and enjoy a run under someone else's reasons then I am motivated for at least that run for that person. I run for many reasons and here are a few of them:
1. I run because I am an animal and it is wired in me to do so.
2. I run because it is the best way to enjoy the earth that God created for us to enjoy!
3. I run because that is when my intellect is at its highest. I think more freely and much more wisely when running!
More to follow later and I hope others can find some enjoyment in my answers.

1. I run because it is the way I have reclaimed myself and my life after 'letting myself go.' and falling way out of shape.
2. I run because I can.
3. I run for beer.
4. Well, why not?
5. I run because people think I'm crazy. They may be right.

Ditto what Nita said. Because I can't stand the person I am when I don't run.
Also because I still have two legs that work (so far), and I want to see what else I can do with them that doesn't include breaking them.
Because with three classes with 20+ students in them and a fourth class with 15, and a mom and dad in the house after 13 years living mostly by myself, sometimes running is the only alone time I get!
Because my butt will not get any smaller left to its own devices.
Because my mom at 61 has better legs than I do at 35, and that's just not acceptable.
Because everything makes sense when I'm running. Or at least less nonsense.
Because I didn't die from cancer 10 years ago.
Because I don't intend to die of cancer, ever.
Because my older sister bullied me into it that same 10 years ago.
Because the most beautiful two-word phrase in the world is "ON-IN!" Except maybe "BEER NEAR!"

You run because Camrys suck.
I also run because you guys are honestly, truly, genuinely as excited and proud of me when I ran two miles on Wednesday as you were when I ran 20 miles this time last year. And that humbles me.
And that, my friends, is an honest-to-god fact.
Well, honestly, with what you've been through with your legs the last six months, the two miles was probably at least as much to be proud of as the 20 last year! We ARE proud of you!

Bye!! Have a good niner!
(you also run because there are guys chasing you home!)|Not too long ago we had a guys night out and went to this little dive of a club. There was this older ladie that was drunk and obsessed with our group. She asked me to dance and I gave her that I will let her down gently approach by signalling that I was married and she did not like that. She started rantiung and I actually jumped over the table that had me blocked in and ran away from her as well. See therte are reasons to stay in shape and being able to run. One of my single buddies got hemmed up and danced with this ladie. She was a wreck. So in sense.....
I run to be able to get out of situations that are there to catch the slowest person in the room. It is not the fastest in tyhe herd that gets caught but rather the slowest weakest one! This goes back to my #1. I run because I am an animal and I am wired to do such!

I run because people have said I wouldn't be able to finish a marathon
I run because I love to see what I'm capable of
I run because it relaxes me
it pumps me up
allows me to eat almost whatever I want
I'm a glutton for punishment
Because one day I said I'd be the one different from everybody else in my family and I am
Because time seems to slow down when I'm running
Because when I'm in the middle of a 4+ mile run is when I can listen to myself the best and pray the best

Screw Jane Fonda!!!
