I love running the marathon b/c it gives me focus and discipline throughout the year.
It's the best exercise ever!
Running and eating go well together.
It's MUCH cheaper than therapy AND it really helps.
I like myself better when I run.
When else can I have a snickers bar and a cheeseburger in the same day ( I have the snickers bar on a 20 mile run and a Five Guys burger after a 20+ mile run)?
1. I want to run a marathon with my dad.. and maybe be able to keep up with him this year.
2. My legs/butt look hot when Im training for a marathon and in serious running mode..
3. I get super moody when I dont run.
4. Even though I live alone and have plenty of time to ponder in quiet, when Im running is when Im able to focus on whats usually annoying me.

6. I love cheese dip and margaritas and have pictures to prove that not running and having cheese dip/margaritas equals a blimpy mariah
I run because after having my hips replaced I fell totally out of shape and became a person I did not want to be. I run because on the one hand the doctors told me not to gain weight because my hips would wear out faster, on the other I was told not to run because it would make my hips wear out faster. I finally realized if both scenarios made my hips wear out faster then let it be the healthy way. So I run. I was told you can't run by friends and family. The Marine in me doesn't recognize "can't" in my vocabulary, so I run. And the people on this board keep me saying I can. And I believe you all more than those that say I can't. 50 days and counting, my e-confirmation is in hand. ![]()
