Hi,
Running was never something I thought I would have an interest in until a few months ago. I felt that I needed to work on being consistent and staying true to commitments. I started off running 3 miles or 1 loop around Memorial and felt surprised when I completed the round without stopping. I ran 3 miles for several weeks and then decided to step it up a notch to 6 miles. I can now run 6 miles in 1 hour. Last week I ran a total of 15 miles and hope to keep this pace till the 1/2 marathon. I read in an article that if you run 15 to 25 mi per week, it is projected that you will run the 1/2 marathon in 2 hours.
This may sound a bit cheesy but about a year ago I saw this movie called "A Walk to Remember" starring Mandy Moore. She had created a list of all the stuff she wanted to do in life and I thought this was a pretty neat idea. So, I made a list myself which included such things as juggling, going to Europe, playing guitar and singing in public, and running a 1/2 marathon is on my list. It would be great if you can help me get closer to scratching this off my list.
Thanks and have a great day!
Nancy
