Yes your right that would be a bit too far. I'm not sure how this works either. I did download the plan for run/walk and started it yesterday.. Have you found anyone else close to you?

I don't think my knees & back would take running, so I'm going to stick to walking. I thought I would try to do a 5K walk each month--June, July & August & I also want to walk the bridge on Labor Day. I see that Midland has an event on June 6, but I will check out the things you mentioned. Thanks.
I too mostly walk but some day I told my daughter I am going to run with her, she is in track and cross country. It would be fun to meet you sometime at the start line of one of the 5ks the one in Midland is a nice one. the whole family usually likes to walk them, we did st patricks, they are fun to see all the folks . keep in touch and let me know if you want to meet up or just do online support.
I would like to join a virtual team. Maybe it would be fun to do that & then meet up at a race/walk during the summer. I'm signing up for the Dow Race Walk in Midland on June 6.

I'm in! I am a teacher, so I am looking at a fitness goal of doing a 5K walk/race each month & Bay City sounds great. What are you all doing now? I walk every morning before school for 50 min. but I probably should be stepping things up a bit.
