My name is Stephanie and I am starting a team for the weight watchers walk-it challenge. I am from Fullerton, CA. I don't want to meet to walk but if you want to join my team everyone is welcome. I am going to be walking in the 5k in Cypress, CA on July 25th, 2009.
I too would like to join your virtual walking team.......I walk at various times of day and can't commit to a certain time and place. How do I join?
Looking forward to it.
I think that just by responding you have joined the team. I think that these message boards are really a place to post questions and discuss common goals and your journey with weight watchers, weight loss, or just being more physically active.
I am kind of confused myself. I think that all you need to do is post a message saying that you want to be a part of the team......which you have already done. Then exercise as you normally would and post on this forum if you have anything that you want to share.
I am interested. I'm in Louisiana. I usually do the WW DVD that came with the deluxe member kit. I do Cardio one day and then the Strength section the next day.
I also walk when my Plantar Fascia isn't acting up. Visiting family in Alabama at the moment and headed out the door now for a walk over the hills something we don't have in Louisiana.
Please let me know if you need me to do anything else to participate.
That's awesome Tracey. It sounds like you are staying on track with exercise. I am going to walk/jog for about 30 minutes. That's my usual routine. I lost 4 pounds this week doing weight watchers. Whoo hoo!!!
I'm joining this virtual team, too. I walk between the ferry and my office (30 minute walk), at least one direction each day. Tuesday and Wednesday this week, I walked both ways--today I took it easy on myself and took the shuttle to the office; I'll walk to the ferry this afternoon.
I also made (and kept so far) a commitment to myself to do Wii Fit each day this week. I did 30 minutes each day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

PS: I still need to identify a 5K or whatever to do.
Karen.....great idea on the Wii fit.....I think I will also commit to 30 min per day on that as well as my 2.5 miles walking with the dogs and my two best friends every day. Thanks for the tip and keep on walking.
Yeah, the Wii Fit is fun, isn't it? I'm seeing other programs to go with it, too, so I'm going to have to check those out soon. I haven't yet tired of the regular Wii Fit, though.
Good for you, committing! Keep us posted!
