I justed joined weight watchers. My name is Jeanne and I live in New Jersey. I don't have a 5k scheduled yet, but I would like to start a virtual walking team where we just log our steps daily and find a 5k near home.
My schedule is a regular 9 to 5 job and I walk after work. I have about 50 lbs to loose and need all the encouragement I can get. So I thought starting this group would be great since we can give each other words of encouragement.
I think this is a great support system, and I know that we can all be successful as individuals or as a group!
I want to keep this walking group to a manageable amount of people so that we can communicate on a daily basis and get to know who we are talking too. I can keep an excel spreadsheet of who is in the group and keep track of everyone's walking on a daily basis. I want to make this group fun even though we most likely will only talk on here but who knows maybe some of us could actually meet. I can sign you up as a member. Let me know.

My Goal this week is to walk 5 miles at least 3x...
I will share with the Group, once I have completed each walk and the time and distance.
Do you have any walking goals this wek?
My goal is to do between 10 to 15 miles this week depending on the weather. I usually go out every night after work, if it is nice, and walk around the high school track for about 2 to 2.5 miles. If I want to do more I have to travel a little bit to a huge park and walk around there.
Just let me know when you walked, how long it took you, and how many miles you did.

Hi, I'd like to join the team. I live in Nj and didn't see any postings for the Clinton/High Bridge/ Califon area. I just finished my spring semester in college and want to get walking. Need to loss the weight I gained studing. Started with a mile this morning and one this evening both with the dog in tow.

How are you all doing walking? How about watching what you eat? I had a bad week but have no idea why. I ate everything that I was suppose too and gained 3 pounds. Then this morning I got on the scale and was 1.5 pounds heavier after last nights weigh-in. What is going on? I am getting frustrated!
