Fredericksburg!  Fredericksburg!

All the best to you Historic Halfers, our very own Lady Windermere, and any Green Bay, Pocono, Ogden, Sugar Loaf, or Cleveland runners (and anyone else challenging a clock this weekend)!

I hope everyone has a fun safe run. Enjoy the day! What's the weather looking like for race day?

Low of 49. High of 65. 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms.

What's the statistics on runners dodging lighting?

Hopefully better than runners who become statistics dodging lightning!

I'm back up in Nashville this weekend.  Not for a race though, for a homeschool conference.

Good luck all the racers out there.

    Re: Fredericksburg! Fredericksburg!

I'm planning on taking this one easy before I head to Vermont.

But I'm still going to try to beat Craig again.  I owe him 6 seconds from last year.

Weather actually looks FLAT -- low of 62 and high of about 63.  That 48 low in the forecast I "believe" is for Sunday night, not Saturday night.  If I'm wrong (and I hope I am), a low in the high 40s or low 50s would be PERFECT.  Add a light mist or light rain and this could be a great day to run.  Heck, every day is a great day to run.

On the floor at "Lady Windermere." Does this make you Lady Windermere's fan??

These two sentences might actually go together... but it's only because of the currently crappy hourly forecast: 50% chance of thunderstorms, 64 degrees for 7 - 9 am. If the roads are slippery, I'm taking it easy. I'm fine with the temps, I just don't want to slip or catch a cold in the rain.

Wear rubber-soled shoes, Craig ... they don't slip in the rain.   I recommend a good pair of running shoes.  Asics are great.   As for catching a cold . . . I didn't know raindrops carried germs?!?!?   Oh, wait, I get it . . . the rain would melt the snowman.

So everyone is on board with Applebees after the race?  I have no idea if someone made/had a better plan other than that steakhouse that's closed.

I am in for Applebees as long as I make it back to Norfolk for my 7:15 flight to Hotlanta.

Asics Running Galoches with spikes, raincoat, and umbrella it is! Humm, I might need to make a stop at VA Runner on Saturday.

7:15? Either you're going to need to be REALLY fast or you should have plenty of time.
