It is still possible to register for the MCM today. Register with an official charity partner of the MCM. Finish for Kids offers one of the lowest fundraising minimums available. If you register today you'll need to raise less than $150 a month between now and October 1st to fulllfil you comitment. You can wait until the last minute and raise it all in one big fundraiser or do it slowly over time a little each month.... See below for more details.

The Finish for Kids Marathon Program provides a unique opportunity to

Our Marathon Program has been established with a runner based approach.

Each runner is designated a personal representative within' the

organization to help you fully prepare to complete the race. A

multitude of race-day luxuries are available only to our runners.

Additionally, runners have their choice of two training programs. While

we are not the biggest charity partner at this years race we have a

staff with extensive experience planning charity marathon programs. Our

program is largely regarded in the non-profit world as the most

"runner-friendly". We look at every runner as our partner. We will help

you get to the finish line and with minimal effort and our support you

will help us meet our goals.

While we ask each runner to raise as much money as they can manage our

required minimum is one of the lowest of all of the charity partners.

We are two relatively new organizations that support medical relief

missions in the United States and beyond. The Carefree Foundation has

recently completed two projects performing nearly 300 general surgery

and opthalmology operations in Peru and restoring vision to nearly 200

blind children in Ethiopia. In performing these operations the

organization also trained and equipped local hospitals with the skills

necessary to continue these operations for many years to come. Carefree

also organizes several domestic projects. Project clinic restoration

focuses on renovating all of the free clinics in the DC area. Doing

this will hopefully, improve the atmosphere of healing as well as

update medical equipment avaible to the underpriveleged. This is only a

small sample of the many projects and innovations carefree supports.

The Foundation for Internation Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) also

supports medical relief missions. FIMRC builds and designs pediatric

clinics in impoverished countries and then supports medical missions to
