Wow, Erin, I really hope you keep up that work-out schedule, because you'll surely be an inspiration to many of us. I would love to get to the point where I'm working out as frequently as you are. As for me, I'm taking this running program quite literally and am unfortunately actually starting from the "couch" part of the C25K. Like FlyShopGirl, I am hoping to lose the 40 pounds I've gained.
MLPQ- So far, I'm running outdoors, so I can't answer your treadmill question. I'm hoping to join the ymca in a few weeks, though, so I'm looking forward to hearing how it works out for you.
KaraJoy - I take long walks with my little one sometimes, but the weather here is funky so I'm not able to make it on each of my "off" days. In terms of resting the muscles, I seem to remember that the important thing is to rest the muscle group you worked on last. So for instance, if you ran one day, then the next day, you might want to focus more on upper body work, like rowing for example, kwim?
Terrie - I used to run when I was going to grad school in Louisiana, so I totally know what you're going up against. Between the heat and humidity of Texas, you will be in some seriously great shape if you can stick it out. Northern MN is great in the summer, but I'll surely be envious of your weather come November. We literally have snow and ice on the ground every day from late Nov through April and it rarely gets above 0 degrees. It's arctic up here, which is why I'll be joining the Y soon.
Hi to everyone else!
I'm going to do day2 tonight after I put my little one to bed.
