kind of expensive for a first time 1/2 marathon....

Yes it is a little on the steep side however did the two previous people happen to notice the " Benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society" portion of the ad? Were raising money for cancer research here people! Plus the goodie bag is especially nice so thats a side benefit. ;0)

You guys must work for the event...

Will have to think about this one....$90-100 for a race that is not even sponsored by Disney or part of the ING series???...a little steep, not sure that pink crocs in the goody bag are worth that......honestly I would rather have a lower entry fee.  

However it is for a good cause, and I love women only races.....the Disney Princess half is an excellent race.

Too bad they didn't advertise enough; I live in Orlando and just heard about this race today; not enough time to train. Will keep an eye out for it next year, and hopefully, they'll either lower the entry fee or will be sponsored to make the fee worth the price.

Unfortunately, there is another inaugural half marathon nearby at Ft. Desoto Park, on Halloween, just 3 weeks before. Hopefully they can plan better next year and schedule them farther apart. Had already signed up for the Halloween Halfathon in July when it was only $30! Giving this a 1 star for not publicizing sooner and planning farther away from the first one on Halloween. Though I'm sure it will be fun.

We're bringing a group from Springfield, Illinois, and we're all so excited because it's all women.  I'll be running with my two sisters.  I direct an all women's race here in Springfield each year so I'm hoping to get some great women-friendly race ideas.  Florida in November is a lot more fun than Illinois in November.
