I'm training for a 10-miler in October (I consider myself a new runner because I've been running on and off for the past three years). I've been reading that once you start running for periods longer than an hour, you should take water with you. I'm not very fast - last week Sunday I did my 5-mile run in 57 minutes (I was really thrilled about that though
). So on Sunday, I have to run 6 miles, which will take me over an hour, and I'm wondering if I need to take water with me? If so, what packs do you all recommend? Or can I just hold the water bottle in my hand?
