I am trying to plot out my running route to see how far I go each night. When I try to place the starting mark it shifts and will not go where I place it. What am i doing wrong??????

It can be kind of tricky, just make sure your view is close enough that there's no question where the marker should be. Sometimes you have to zoom in pretty close.
