Do heart rate monitors really help you train better?? Ive never been an endurance athlete, so i have no experience using these. Any tips or advice is welcome.

If you take your training seriously, a heart rate monitor is a must. In the first place it makes sure that you won't overdo it. And it gives you such a lot of additional information (depending on the model). Depending on the distances that you train for, it makes you run as slow as necessary or as fast as you can. I definitely recommend it. I have a Polar SX 625 and generally it does it's job.
