Searching for Events on Active.com

I need help on searching for event in my area: When I put my state and click on the type of event (like "cycling"), I get a list of event names. Each listed event has a name that is a link to the event details. I have the option of sorting the list by "type" or "relevance". Good.

Now, when I click on an event name, a new page opens and in many cases, the event is in the past. So, I waste a lot of time opening webpages of events I can't register for. I can't imagine why such events are left on the list many of which were in 2008!

The question: How can I get a list of cycling events all of which are in the future?

Thanks for any pointers!!

Re: Searching for Events on Active.com

When you go to search.active.com, you are defaulted to the "More" tab.  To search for cycling events, you should click on the "Activities & Events" tab.  From this tab you can search for cycling events in a specific area and for a specific date range.  If you don't specify a date range, it will default to showing events in the future.  Let me know if that helps.

We are working on a new version of our search located at http://searchbeta.active.com.  Please take a look at that and make sure to let us know how you like it by clicking on the Leave Feedback link.  Thanks!
