Shoot, I forgot Jeff...great 10K, bud! Sorry bout that, man...
Anyways, nothing REALLY new except now I'm on the 15-day DL; went and ran 8 yesterday, started feeling pain in my right hip around Mile 2, but pushed through...finished in 1:05, which translates to about an 8:06 pace. Afterwards, though, I couldn't hardly put any weight on my right leg, and when it wasn't any better this morning, I went to the doc; currently diagnosed as a hip flexor strain (BIG relief, as I thought I might have a stress fracture around the ball joint), but no running for the next 2 weeks. So I'm going to apologize up front, if I get a little short, it's not really me...running is my addiction, it's kinda like a person addicted to crack or meth; you take it away and withdrawal sets in! LOL
Melody - Geez, it does sound like you've been busy, hope you can get rested up!
spice - Last long run, huh? It's almost T-0 days! Good luck! I'll shoot you my cell on FB if you got room to add...otherwise, no biggie. BTW, great testimonial!
Kaenman - Well, we all have those kinds of days...I've had a few here of late. Best thing to do is just keep on keepin' on...
Jay - Seen ya on the new thread...good job with the 10-miler though...
Juli - Seen ya on the new one too...good call on following the steps of RICE minus the C so far...(Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)
AnTrelle - Seen you on it as well...welcome!
Kelly - lol, I know what ya mean, I try not to run on the same days I lift. Or I do my lifting afterwards. I'll give the workout a try after I come off the DL.
OK, gotta get to class...hope everybody has a good week! Run well, y'all!
