Re: First 5k time...

Mine was 33:15 and that was a shock to me.  I thought it would be closer to 35:00.  Guess the race day adrenaline really helped me out!

Re: First 5k time...

Mine was a little more than 35 minutes. I was shocked b/c it felt like I was running slower. Just know that you can do it. i am 41 years old and always thought I was too short, squat, flat-footed etc etc to run but always wanted to do a 5k. The more I got out there and realized that anyone can run, and we are only ones limiting ourselves, the more I thought: maybe I can do this.  For me, I dont worry about time right now...I just focus on finishing!

Re: First 5k time...

33:23 and I didn't train for it....just did it on a whim; wasn't even sure I could run the whole thing, but I did and I've been hooked ever since!!!  I'm still not setting any speed records, but I have fun and am looking forward to longer races!!

Re: First 5k time...

To make you all feel fast, my first 5K a few weeks ago was 50 min 30 sec or so. I am 250 and losing weight on WW and running. So I hope to run faster as I progress in weight loss and my running program. I did run the whole 5K though; no walking.
