Running Club in Key West, FL

Looking for a group run while visiting Key West on vacation? Or live here and want to start running with a group instead of alone?? The Southernmost Runners running club here on Key West has many different group runs throughout the week for you to join in on... it's free to run...just come on out.

KW Southernmost Runners,

Below are the group runs occurring in Key West this upcoming week. I encourage you to try it, join the group run, give it a chance, and perhaps enjoy the company of your fellow runners while you pound the pavement for a few miles, sharing your tales of races and places. You do not have to be fast, trust me....this is a great environment for beginners to get out there and start their New Year's Resolution early!

Sunday, Dec 13th: 8 mile long run / White Street Pier / 6 am / Breakfast afterwards??

Monday: 2 mile easy run / Green Parrot Bar / 6 pm

Tuesday: Rest Day

Wednesday: 4 mile training run / White Street Pier / 5 am (*The usual 5pm Track Workout at KWHS is still going on that evening as well).

Thursday: Rest Day

Friday: 2 mile easy run / Green Parrot Bar / 5 am

Saturday*: Distance of your choosing / White Street Pier / 7 am *Need a volunteer to lead this run this day.

I will be out of town next weekend for the Jacksonville Bank Marathon, so a volunteer for the Saturday morning group run is desperately needed. I you can head this, please let me know so everyone knows to look for you. As for the distances this week, please do not let my tapering for the marathon hinder the mileage you were hoping to the group run and continue on for the remaining miles, and maybe take a few other runners with you.

Join the Key West Southernmost Runners running club Facebook page in order to link up with other runners and communicate across the club and keys:

Once you become a fan, click on "Just Fans" to see the page on which we communicate!

Best of luck in each of your training programs, whether you are running for health, fitness, weight loss, or a particular race. I look forward to running with and meeting each of you in the coming weeks. Email me if you'd like one of your usual runs to be added to the weekly schedule so that others may join you.
