I'm 43 years old and was diagnosed with asthma a few months ago. I take Asmanex everyday and use an Albuterol inhaler as needed. The asthma has really affected my running, so much so that I've had to switch to power walking, and this week, I'll be starting the Couch-to-5K plan to get back into my running. Prior to this diagnosis and the months before it when I was having so many breathing problems, I was running three to five miles about four times a week. I want to get back to that and beyond. Any suggestions from anyone about running with asthma, especially starting over again and getting back into running while training with asthma?
