Tri training vs Marathon

Can anyone comment on the best way to train for a marathon and sprint triathlons simultaneously.  I'm running 3 times a week and my long runs are at 13 miles.  I'm hoping to run Boston (Mid April).  Last year I ran 6 sprint tri's and 1 Olympic length.  I'm only doing the marathon to complete not to compete.  However, I'm hoping to be competitive on the sprint tri's.  I'm 55 and work full time so double sessions aren't an option.

I'm struggling with this, too. I'm injured so I'm not running at the moment, but once I get into gear I'm planing to train for the marathon with a Furman FIRST approach and supplement with swimming and biking since my primary race will be the marathon. FIRST not only encourages cross-training but allows two-a-days on run days (i.e. also swimming or biking).

I do today what you won't, so tomorrow I do what you can't.
