Welcome to San Diego! Our county is rich in incredible hiking trails. During the winter the Anza-Borrego provides a lifetime of wonderful hiking, and it is one of the best winter camping areas around.

One of my all time favorite quick hikes is the summit of Garnet Peak. There is no better payoff than this quick hike. Garnet Peak Hike
The mountains in general have great hiking. The PCT runs from the border north, and section hiking this is a lot of fun.
If you just have a couple of hours to spare, Mission Trails Regional Park is one of the secret jewels of our city, and provides a huge amount of quality hiking. Mission Trails

If you're ever planning to come to Europ, I can suggest to take a hike in Switserland. The trail are for any level of hiker. Beside that, they are very well indicated.
