Hi, I was advised by my doctor to consume protein while on long runs. ay. I am trying to figure out a good way to do this without getting a lot of sugar or carbs. I tried a protien bar and it was like eating sawdust. I don't have any food allergies, and am interested in a gel or something easy to consume while running. I am running from 10-12 miles on long runs once a week. Any suggestions?
My sport nutritionist also recommended protein intake.
