Anyone out there who can give some advice? I completed the couch to 5K program and one extra week of week 9. i still find that although I am very slow- 2.2 miles in the 30 minutes, I am still really huffing and puffing to do that. No way I could carry a conversation while running.
I am about 15% overweight and wasn't exercising at all prior to the program, but would have thought I wouldn't be as winded at this point. I think I have always been nonathletic and haven't had great lung capacity (i'm shortjust shy of 5 feet and weigh 139 lbs) was the kind of kid who got a cramp in the side if I ran too much etc. anyhow, thrilled with my progress but wondering why it is still so hard.
Anyone have any advice, similar experience?
