I'm training for the Chicago marathon on 10-10-10 and am looking for some good hills to train on in the area. Specifically in the southwestern burbs like Bolingbrook, Woodridge, Lisle, Darien etc....anyone know of any good ones? Thanks in advance.
Winfield has Blackwell Forest Preserve. It's off Butterfield and Winfield road. It's a sledding hill in the winter and a great view of Chicago on a clear day. Springbrook Prairie at RT 59 and 75th in Naperville/Aurora has a 5.5 mile path with some hills as well but nothing like the one hill at Blackwell. Hope this helps!
Thanks! I'll definitely have to look into it, it sounds perfect.
