Any supplements needed?

Hi, I'm a newbie runner (4 months, with the last 2 taking it seriously) and I want to know: any supplements I need to take? I don't believe in "just pop some multivitamins and other elements" school of thought, but I do feel tired after a run (currently 7.3K) for the whole day and I started losing hair in a bad way. Is there something obvious that I should be doing? Is it something supported by some research as well? Thank you in advance for your ideas.
Your hair falling out and your lack of energy could mean many things. Have you talked to your doctor about these issues?

Not yet, I will get round to doing it. I was just wondering if it's not something that has happened to others because of running - so I won't go to the doctor for something that is more running related than health related. I was checked out for general physical fitness earlier this spring and nothing seemed to be wrong then.
If you're eating a good, well-balanced diet, you shouldn't need supplements. You don't mention your running schedule - how often, how far - or other things like age. Your tiredness could be related to mileage increases. I don't know of any running related problems that would lead to hair loss.

Is it from one area of your head or all over?

Are you at a healthy weight? I ask because I know from past experience that when I lost too much weight, my hair started falling out. Even if you are at a heathy weight, it may be some kind of vitamin deficiency.... I am glad to hear you will be seeing your doctor soon though! Good luck.
I'm just losing more hair while that usual when washing it or combing it. And no, no patches or visible thinning. I'm 41, overweight, running 10 - 15k/week and losing weight slowly. I am, though, very new to running. For the first 40 yrs of my life, I thought running was something I would never be able to do - not even to catch a bus. And I don't drink coffee - so I get sleepy during the day, especially after a longer run (over 5k). Writing this I realised that my question sounded more alarming than it was intended to be - but still appreciate the feedback.
