Perfect.   Since yours is a 4 miler Mary and ours is a 5K we'll call the handicap a wash and just compare times straight up......

ooh your math sucks! What did you fail the math portion of the ACT AND the SAT?  Hope your children never ask you what 2+2 equals! it should be YOU running the 4 miles and me the 5K, but since that is not an option, we will  have to come up with a handicap for me. Especially since you ran 22 minutes! I need a handicap of 20 minutes minimum. (just nod your head up and down in agreement and I will put the gun down that is pointed at your temple. And don't try talking me down there are no negotiations!!)

Hey- No joke. I have that costume. I wear it- take a pictrure with a beer in my hand in it - will you race on the 19th? Remember virtual stuff is always better than the real stuff.

Reminds me of the St. Pauli Girl posters everyone had back in school.  I have fond memories of the St. Pauli Girl. . . .

    Back to reality.

Running the Space Coast with you would be awesome.  Just don’t take on too much, you want to be in this for the long haul.

I finished my 6 miles this morning averaging an 8:47 pace, a little slower than last week.  I maintained my tempo pace for about 2 miles and that pretty much cooked me.  It should not be that hot at 5 a.m.

I'm still game for the 19th but I haven't registered for anything yet.  There is a 5k here almost every weekend this time of year so I can be flexible about the date.

I can only send pictures if you run the 19th Or you wait till I wear it when I run my Halloween 10K on the 30th of October. I have that one & this one media.nl.jpg

But Hey I got news! Good News, Cardio trainer has added 'Show splits' so I can see  my split times. So now that I can, I looked at my run on Sunday and I  ran(each time is per mile)

    10:04

    10:02

    9:08

    11:25

    9:33

    10:09

    10:10

    9:23

    9:22

    9:10

My  times seem all over the place. I know the reason I ran an 9:08 is I was  on a downhill and the '11:25" an uphill,  however my run times went  down again then sped up. How can I learn to keep a steady pace and not  be all over the world?

My run yesterday was sort of the same:

    9:20

    9:00

    9:20

    last .7 was 8.33

Also I ran again today and tried to increase my steps- from the 164 to the 180- I am still - now matter how much it feels unnatural and 'roadrunner' like, I am only getting up to 84/168 far from the 180 I need to be at- at minimum. How do I increase these steps. I am taking shorter steps, but only increasing the count by 2-4 steps at most.

    Thanks in advance!

    Maryalicia - I have a similar problem.

I'm looking at http://www.run2r.com/run2rhythm-home.aspx and http://cadenceapp.com/..  It is just hard to do those while I'm listening to Ullrey's podcasts.  I may have to change my strat .  I think the cadence app will let me.  I just need to find the right bpm.

Please let me know if you find something easy for noobs.
