Is Gatorade G Series Pro 02 Perform a Ripoff?

I started drinking Gatorade G Series Pro 02 Perform (formerly known as Gatorade Endurance Formula) after drinking it during this year's Boston Marathon, where it was the drink offered during the race. I noticed that it was a bit more expensive than original Gatorade G and did some math.
Here's a post I wrote about my findings:

Very interesting read. I believe I knew this already. all I knew is I didn't want to pay the higher price for it.

Interesting read. Do you know if they currently sell Gatorade G or has it been completely replaced with this new G Series?
Thats a great write up, thanks! 10 bucks for a teaspoon of salt, hilareous. I probably also pay too much for salt but go a different route. For long runs >10 miles I use the Nathan electrolyte tabs, 16 tabs for 6 bucks. 1 tab makes 24 oz. i mix that up and then add a good shot of honey for carbs and put the concoction in my Helium Hydration belt. It tastes great, is cheap and gets me through them grueling 16 milers.
Anyone here know if potasium is important, all the electrolyte mixes have it but Im not convinced they dont just add it to make us think we're getting more than simple table salt for our hard earned green.

They still sell Gatorade G, but now there is also Gatorate G2 (low calorie) and G Natural (made from natural ingredients and sold at Whole Foods in select cities).

I sometimes use Nuun electrolyte tablets on long runs. For more info, see this post:

I've been testing Nuun all this summer. Mostly good results so far, but I learned not to combine it with a gel.
