Lacrosse magazined announced that John Danowski, head men's lacrosse coach at Duke, is the magazine's 2007 Person of the Year. I agree completely and am excited for Coach Danowski to get the recognition he deserves. He took a tough situation on and went above and beyond for the Duke team when they needed it the most.
Congratulations Coach Danowski!

Absolutely. He took a talented team which needed some discipline and motivation, brought them what they needed and took them to the championship game. Unfortauntely, they met a JH team which felt disrespected and had a big chip on their shoulder. I expect to see Duke perform well again this spring.

I couldn't agree with you more. Lacrosse magazine released its preseason college rankings for the 2008 season last week and they have the Duke men's team at No. 1 and interesting enough they have Johns Hopkins at No. 3. With Duke returning 8 of 10 starters in 2008 it's easy to see why they are expected to do big things and it should be a great season.
