Marathon training with limited time

I would like to run a marathon but don’t have enough time to train. I am running to and from work 3 times per week 6.5miles each way (so 6x6.5m). This works because I have a short but trafficky commute so don’t loose too much time running. I can squeeze in the occasional long run on weekends. Is this at all useful as a training routine for a marathon?

Yes. Just add a very long easy run every 2 or 3 weeks, working up from 8-10 miles to a marathon or more before tapering down in the last month. If you can gradually acclimate yourself to staying out there long enough, a competitive marathon is within reach. Good luck!

It’s good you want to run a marathon. I’m a sport journalist. You can read more about marathon on my blog https://fastcustomwritinghelp.com/blog/work-hard-have-fun-make-money
