    I love this ride.  The vibe is wonderful, the venue beautiful, the food is outstanding, volunteers great, what more could a event want?  This will be the 4th time I've participated and can't wait!

    When we finally located a Chamber of Commerce employee in town (the office was closed, even though we arrived there during their normal operating hours....), we were treated very, very rudely by her.  She snidely stated that all the t-shirts had been attached to bibs and that we were GUARANTEED to receive our pre-paid t-shirts at the

    race.  The race was very dangerous, as we had to periodically run through traffic and dodge vehicles, and there were no police at all on the course to help protect the participants.  The race was advertised to include dirt.  Yeah....there was 5"-wide strip of dirt alongside the paved road for maybe half of a mile. They also advertised that post-race "bottled water, juice, fruit and other goodies will be provided to participants".  The only thing available after the race was Powerade.  DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME IN GRAND LAKE.
